Hi, I'm Ned Slater, an Osteopath practising at BodyLab Geelong. I have a passion for helping people recover from concussion, persistent concussion symptoms and neck pain. My approach combines evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation with an understanding that every person's recovery is unique. Whether you're an athlete looking to return to sport, someone recovering from a workplace injury, or simply wanting to get back to everyday life without symptoms, my goal is to help you move forward with confidence.

My interest in concussion care is deeply personal. During my own football playing days, I experienced persistent concussion symptoms that had a significant impact on my health and daily life. Navigating that recovery gave me an appreciation of the physical, cognitive and emotional challenges that can accompany concussion. It also inspired me to develop a clinical focus in this area, combining my lived experience with current best-practice management to better support others going through a similar journey.

To ensure my patients receive up-to-date, evidence-informed care, I have undertaken additional professional development in concussion management, including the Multimodal Management of Concussion course and the Complete Concussions certification program. I am also proud to contribute as a Clinical Support member with the Concussion and CTE Foundation, allowing me to remain connected with ongoing education, research and advocacy in concussion care.

Alongside concussion management, I have a strong clinical interest in treating neck pain, headaches, dizziness and vestibular presentations, recognising how closely these conditions can be linked. My treatment combines hands-on osteopathic care, targeted rehabilitation, nutrition and supplementation considerations, education and graded return-to-activity planning to help patients achieve lasting outcomes rather than short-term relief alone.

I believe the best healthcare starts with listening. Taking the time to understand your story, your goals and what matters most to you allows us to develop a management plan that is tailored to your individual needs. My aim is to provide a supportive environment where you feel heard, understood and confident throughout your recovery.
